Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about EditLibrary.
What’s the difference between funk and phonk?
Brazilian funk (funk carioca) is a music genre from Brazil: montagem, automotivo, brega… with MC vocals. Phonk comes from Memphis rap: cowbell, heavy bass. People mix them up because many montagem used in edits sound a bit phonk, but they are Brazilian funk: here they’re filed under “Brazilian Funk”.
How do I use a sound in my edit?
Tap the sound’s TikTok button: the sound page opens in TikTok, then tap “Use this sound”. You can also play the full track on Spotify or Deezer.
What is “Discover today”?
Every day, an algorithm picks the least played and clicked sounds on EditLibrary, with new releases first (after 2 days on the site). The goal: give visibility to sounds that deserve it.
Where do the numbers come from?
The video count is the one TikTok shows for each sound, updated once a day. The release date is when the sound appeared on TikTok.
How do I suggest a sound?
Go to “Suggest a sound” and paste the track’s Spotify or Deezer link. No account needed. Once approved, it shows up in the catalog.
Is it free?
Yes, everything is free with no account. EditLibrary isn’t made to make money: if there are ever ads, they’ll only pay for hosting.
Why won’t the preview play?
The 30-second previews come from Deezer. Some sounds aren’t there (yet): use the TikTok or Spotify buttons instead.
